Julie’s work is painted in reverse on glass, a meticulous process where each detail is carefully built from the back, allowing the finished image to glow softly when light passes through. The result is art that feels alive—changing throughout the day as sunlight moves across the surface.
Whimsical Subjects with Deeper Meaning

As a survivor of the 2011 Joplin tornado, she paints them as quiet tributes to resilience and the gentle helpers remembered by many in the aftermath. Sunflowers, moons, and faces of the sun often appear as symbols of endurance, comfort, and steady light.

Many commissioned pieces are painted on rescued vintage windows, some over a century old. Julie is drawn to the craftsmanship and history within the glass—the hands that once made it, the lives it once looked out upon.
